From the Desk of the President
First let me welcome everyone to the CVHRMA, and thank you for your interest in our chapter and your continued support! I can’t tell you all how honored I am to be serving as President of this fine association for the next two years, and how excited I am for the things yet to come. We have the most awesome individuals on our Board of Directors this year, and I could not ask for a better group of people to work with!
Every year we set goals for our chapter, and during this last year, we feel that we have met most of those goals we set forth. In 2007, we increased our membership, made the chapter more visible in the community, offered educational study sessions for individuals seeking certification, and provided quality programming and networking opportunities for our members. As always, we welcome any suggestions for programming, or ideas on how we can better serve and advance the profession – we are here for you!
Please join us at one of our monthly luncheons! We meet the third Wednesday of every month (except for October and December) from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Sportsman of Stanislaus Club at 819 Sunset Blvd., in Modesto. The cost for the luncheon is $18.00 for active CVHRMA members who RSVP on or before the Thursday prior to the Meeting and 1st time Guests. $25.00 for active CVHRMA members that do not RSVP prior to the deadline. $25.00 for Non-Members and inactive Members. $12.00 for students. If you are not currently a member of our association, we would love the opportunity to become your local chapter! Please contact any board member to learn about all of the benefits of becoming a member!
Once again, I am very excited for the opportunity to serve this chapter and the HR profession, and I look forward to the next two fantastic years with you!
